LensCrafters Parkway Plaza Review

If you ever find yourself needing a pair of glasses, how do you know where a good place to go is? We've been to several different eye care stores, but prefer LensCrafters. Amy and I have been going to the LensCrafters store at Parkway Plaza in El Cajon for years now. We've found that they have a good selection of frames and lenses, and their prices aren't any more expensive than anyone else. If you're lucky you'll even be buying your glasses when they have a 50% off lenses deal like when we got ours.

What really keeps us coming back is their great customer service. Not only are they good at helping you select a style of frame to match your face and personality, but they continue to assist you after the sale. You can go in there anytime before and after the sale, and they'll happily adjust your glasses for free (and don't even ask for your receipt to see if you're a customer). Even though we're happy with our glasses, they occasionally need adjusting due to normal wear and tear of taking them on and off all day. Because of this, having a reliable and convenient place to take them for adjustments is important.

In addition to free adjustments whether you're a customer or not, they stand behind their products. After months of wearing my glasses with transition lenses, they started getting defective around the edges of the lens. It didn't affect my vision at all, and I really only noticed the defect when I took them off to clean them. We brought them in to ask about them, and they actually ordered me a brand new pair of lenses at no cost to me. Now that's what I call awesome service.

The bottom line is that we've never had a bad experience in all of the times we've been there, even when it's been very busy. I give the credit to their good associates at that store. While all of the people that have helped us were nice and got the job done, I want to give a shout out to Vincent, who has worked at LensCrafters for many years. He has helped us on many occasions, and we always leave the store satisfied. So if you happen to be in El Cajon and shopping for glasses or contact lenses, stop by and ask for Vincent!

We've also used their in-store optometrist which worked out fine. I've only been there once to get fitted for a new prescription, because I require the specialized eye care of an Ophthalmologist (yes it looks like I have an extra "h", but that's actually the correct spelling!). For regular eye care and getting fitted for glasses though, it's a great one-stop shop, so don't hesitate to check them out for yourself!
